Dear Code of the Freaks Supporters,

It is with deepest thanks to all of our supporters that we have been able to launch this project. We are grateful to all of our contributors and to our distributor, Kino Lorber. We are humbled and honored to be in the same catalogue as I Am Not Your Negro, Chained for Life, Invitation to Dance, and hundreds of award-winning films, new releases and movie classics! We can’t be more excited!

We are most proud of the fact that we were able to complete the 70-minute film primarily with the support of our Kickstarter backers. We filmed and edited 13 interviews with approximately 400 clips from at least 100 different films and we did it with a budget well under 50K! Our journey, however, is not fully complete, as we remain committed to enhancing the accessibility of the film and increasing our outreach and distribution capacity.

Code of the Freaks currently features captions and a standard audio description track. We are also working on a low sensory version, and a more experimental audio description version that provides more detailed audio description, and expanded educational material to accompany the film.

Our supporters have already made the investment that has made this project possible.
